This is to acknowledge receipt of a letter, dated March 18, 1986, which transmitted Revision 6 to the Quad Cities Annex to the Generating Stations Emergency Plan.

We have completed our review of Revision 6 to the Quad Cities Annex, dated March 1986, and have determined that it is consistent with the requirements of 10 CFR 50.54(q) and does not decrease the effectiveness of the emergency plan.

Be advised that 10 CFR 50.54(q) also requires prior NRC approval of any changes to your plan which may decrease the effectiveness of the plan.

However, if your safety review assures no decrease in emergency preparedness effectiveness, then changes to the plan may be made and implemented without prior NRC opproval. In all cases, you must furnisn copies of each proposed change to t.he NRC in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(q). Also, any changes to .

the Emergency Plan Implementing Procedures should be made in accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 50, Appendix E, Section V.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this letter will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.
