NRC 1:!TEGRATED INSPECTION REPORT NOS. 50-369/97-17 and 50-370/97-17
Dear Mr. Barron:
On November 1. 1997, the Nuclear Re9ulatory Commission (NRC) completed an
inspection at your McGuire 1 and 2 reactor facilities.
The enclosed report
presentt the results of that inspection.
During the 6-week seriod covered by this inspection, your conduct of
activities at the icGuire facilities was generally characterized by safety-
conscious operations, sound engineering and maintenance practices, and careful
radiological work controls. . Good operational oversight of Unit 1 and control
of shutdown activities for Unit 2 were observed.
Within-the scope of the inspection, no cited violations or deviations were
identified.
.In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a) of the NRC's " Rules of Practice." a co)y of
this letter and its enclosures will be placed in the NRC Public Document
Room
(PDR).
