Enforcement Conference Report for Inspection No. 50-247/86-02
On February 13, 1985, an Enforcement Conference was held at the NRC Region I
Office, King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, to discuss the findings of Region I
Inspection No. 50-247/86-02. The report of that inspection was transmitted to
you with our letter of February 3, 1986.
The enforcement conference was attended by yourself and members of your staff
and by Mr. James Allan, Deputy Regional Administrator, myself and other
members of the Region I staff.
At the conference, we discussed the adequacy of access controls and barrier
features for vital areas _of the plant and the adequacy of vehicle searches.
Certain aspects of these matters had been found in violation of NRC require-
ments during our inspection.
We also discussed your already completed and additional proposed corrective
actions to prevent recurrence of those violations and other measures you plan
to take to improve your overall security program. We consider that the confer-
ence was mutually beneficial and commend you for the prompt and comprehensive
corrective actions which you effected.
No reply to this letter is required. You will be notified of our decision
regarding enforcement action by separate correspondence.
