office, Berlin, Connecticut on March 26, 1986. The purpose of that meeting was
to discuss the independent review of your design change control program.
At this meeting, you provided information on lessons learned, root causes, continu-
ing actions, and your recent experiences with design change control activities.
Recent NRC inspection of design changes was also discussed. Your ongoing actions
and results will continue to be addressed through routine inspection.
It is our view that this meeting was beneficial to mutual understanding of the
status of your design change control initiatives and of the related factors iden-
tified during NRC inspection. Closure of the related NRC Order Modifying License
