Dear Mr. Adkins:
In accordance with Part 76 t itle 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, enclosed are the renewed Certificates of Comp {liagee for the U.S. Enrichment Corporation two gaseous diffusion plants located in Paducah, Kentucky, and Piketon, Ohio. These Certificates of Compliance become effective immediately.
Also enclosed are the Compliance Evalua ' n Reports (CERs), Revision 1, for the renewal of Paducah and Portsmouth Certificates of Co
'ance. Based on your comments and our final review, NRC staff has made minor editorial ch s to the CERs since the Director's decision in November 1998. These changes are noted by ebars in the enclosed CERs. The CERs document NRC staff's evaluation of USEC's certifica' hop application for renewal and provide safety bases for the issuance of the renewal Certificates'of Compliance.
These Certificates of Compliance are issued with expiratio atqs of December 31,2003.
