Gentlemen:
This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. R. Wise and Dr. J. B. Nicholas of
this office during the period March 3-7, 1986, of activities authorized by NRC
Operating License DPR-46, for Cooper Nuclear Station, and to the discussion of
our findings with Mr. G. R. Horn and other members of your staff at the
conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during the inspection included your chemistry / radiochemistry
program, radiochemistry confirmatory measurements, and whole body counting
system confirmatory measurements. Within these areas, the inspection consisted
of selective examination of procedures and representative records, interviews
with personnel, and observations by the inspectors.
