Gentlemen:

VIRGINIA ELECTRIQ AND POWER COMPANY NORTH ANNA PO$'#R STATION UNIT NOS.1 AND 2 CORRECTION iO RADIOACTIVE EFFLUENT RELEASE REPORT f

On April 21,1997, Virginia Electric and Power Company submitted the Radiological

}

Effluent Release Report for North Anna Power Station for the reporting period of January 1,1996 to December 31,1996. It has come to our attention that Table 1 A of our submittal is in error.

Specifically, the average release rates for fission and activation gases, iodines and tritium were listed in units of curies per second in lieu of microcuries per second. In addition, the average release rates for particulates were also listed in units of curies per second for the first, third and fourth quarters of 1996.

Enclosed is a corrected Table 1A with the average release rates reported in microcuries per second.

If you have any questions or require additional information, please contact us.

Very truly yours, UAW j 7 tf g,
