In a letter dated April 30, 1986, the NRC requested that Georgia Power Company (GPC) review and modify, as necessary, the NRC Regulatory Information Tracking System Facility Implementation plant-specific list which was enclosed with the letter. The NRC further requested that the updated information be provided by May 31, 1986 By letter dated May 30, 1986, GPC provided a markup of the plant-specific list which reflected the individual status of the various items. This status was primarily obtained by researching documentation related to the NRC issue. In that letter we stated that we believed we could provide responses to the remaining items by June 30, 1986, assuming that, with your aid, we could accurately identify the itens and associated activities.

Enclosed is an updated list indicating those items that have been resolved, items which still require additional infonna tion, and items that have not yet been verified.

Items requiring additional information are:

1. HPA A-09, TAC Nos. M11354 and M11356, " Reactor Yessel Beltline Material Surveillance."

We have not been able to retrieve NRC correspondence for the dates indicated. We believe that the item has been closed, since our program is in compliance with 10 CFR 50, Appendix G, as reflected in the Uni t I and the Unit 2 Technical Specifications and the respective Final Safety Analysis Reports g (FSARs). We have not been able to retrieve NRC correspondence for the dates indicated. This item may have also been resolved, since several revisions have been made to the Security Plan. Any outstanding issues would have to be identified by the NRC for further GPC followup.

3. MPA B-05, TAC Nos. M08219 and Mil 263, " Stress Corrosion Cracking-EWR RCSPB Generic."

We have not been able to retrieve NRC correspondence for the dates indicated. We believe that the general subject of stress corrosion cracking is an ongoing item.

4 MPA B-16, TAC Nos. M08643 and M12346, " Emergency Planning and Revisions."

We have not been able to retrieve NRC correspondence for the dates indicated. Revisions have been made to the Emergency Plan since 1981, and these revisions have been reviewed by the NRC.

Emergency planning is an ongoing item.

5 MPA B-21, TAC Nos. M10330 and M10362, " Loss of 125-V DC Bus Voltage with Loss of Annunciator System."

We have not been able to retrieve NRC correspondence for the date indicated.

6. MPA D-11, TAC Nos. M10084 and M10085, " Enhanced Fission Gas Product Release for High Burnup LWR Fuel."

We have not been able to retrieve NRC correspondence for the date indicated. The LOCA models used for analyzing Hatch fuel meet the requirements of 10 CFR 50, Appendix K, and have been reviewed and approved by the NRC. We believe that this iten is closed.

7. MPA D-15, TAC Nos. M12304 and M12305, "HELB and Consequential System Failure."

We have not been able to retrieve NRC correspondence for the date indicated. HELB, including the potential for consequential system failure, is addressed in the FSARs. We know of no open items.

8. MPA F-04, TAC Nos. M44308 and Ma4237, " Inadequate Core Cooling Guidelines."

We have not been able to retrieve NRC correspondence for the date indicated. We consider this an ongoing item.

9. MPA F-06, TAC Nos. M46165 and M46166, " Nuclear Data Link."

We have not been able to retrieve NRC correspondence for the date indicated. It is our belief that this item was cancelled by the NRC.

We sunnise, based upon the information provided above, that eight of the foregoing items are resolved, i. e., closed, ongoing, or open. The NRC should verify independently our beliefs if the status of the items needs to be relied upon by the agency. The status of item number 5,

" Loss of 125-Y DC Bus Voltage with Loss of Annunciator System," cannot be resolved without additional information from the NRC. Once additional information is provided, this item can be resolved.

The enclosed list contains four items where the dates of implementation have not been verified. We are confident that these items have been closed. We believe that the amount of additional research required to establish the exact (past) closure dates for these items is not appropriate; therefore, we do not intend to pursue these items any further. The items in question are:

1. MPA B-27 TAC No. M10886, "Offgas Explosion Prevention Review "

IEB 78-03 The procedures responding to this issue are in place.

Walls C164-4A and B and Cl30-30C and D have been removed.

3. MPA B-62, TAC Nos. M2746 and M42747, "ESF Reset Control Design Deficiency."

The procedures res;:onding to this issue are in place.

4 MPA F-51, TAC. Nos. M47862 and M47863, "RCIC Suction Modificatiens."

The design change paperwork was closed out in June 1985 The actual modification was made prior to that time.
