SUMMARY

OF JUNE 10, 1986, MEETING ON PERFORMANCE OF ELECTRAY SUPPORTS DURING FIRES On June 10, 1986, the NRC met with Duke Power Company in Bethesda, Maryland, to discuss the licensee's analyses regarding the performance of structural steel supports for cable trays (electrays) in the Unit 1 mechanical pipe chase and in the Unit 2 auxiliary feedwater pump room after being exposed to fire. These analyses, forwardeu 60 NRC Region II by the licensee's letter of November 4,1985, are intended to demonstrate that the unprotected hanger rod supports will not lose their support strength due to elongation and fail due to the temperature of an exposure fire beneath the supports.
