On January 23,19g8, the NRC completed an inspection at your LaSalle facility. The enclosed

report presents the results of that inspection.
- During this six-week inspection period, the overall performance at LaSalle Station continued to
' be acceptable. Activities we observed were generally conducted professionalb and in -
accordance with plant procedures. In addition, the approval rate for root cause investigations
~
- was increasing while the Corrective Action Review Board was maintaining effective oversight as -
a part of the corrective action process. However, we did identify minor errors by shift managers
in performing aspects of their shift tumover activities and minor housekeeping deficiencies, both
of which indicated a lack of attention-to-datail by your staff.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practices," a copy of this letter and its

enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
