SCOPE To define the Job duties of the Radiation Protection Officer at the Saginaw Plant.

PURPOSE To insure compliance with all N.R.C.

regulations.

1.

Supervise radiographer to insure that radiographer duty assignments are maintained.

2.

Act in advisory capacity to licensee's nanagement and radiographic personnel.

3.

Serve as the licensee's liaison officer with the N.R.C.

on license matters.

4.

Maintain control of procurement and disposal of licence by-product material and administrate the Quality Assurance Program.

5.

Conduct quarterly internal radiographic inspections.

6.

Supervise the licensee's record keeping system.

7.

Assume control and institute corrective action in emergency situations.

8.

Investigate causes of incidents and determino necessary preventive action.

9.

Establish and maintain up to date operating and emergency pr cedures.

10.

Report to employees and former employees of radiation exposure.
