SUBJECT: NRC INSPECTION REPORT 50-313/98-303;50-368/98-303
Dear Mr. Hutchinson:
On December 18,1998, an operator licensing certification inspection was conducted at your
Arkansas Nuclear One, Unit 1, reactor facility.- The enclosed report presents the scope and

results of that inspection.
The inspection included an evaluation of one applicant for a reactor operator license. This was
a licensee-authored retake written examination only +5at did not involve an NRC site visit. We
determined that the applicant satisfied the requirerr; :,s of 10 CFR Part 55, and the
appropriate license has been issued.
The written examination was adequate for administration as submitted. Minor enhancement
comments to a number of questions were adequately addressed by your staff.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its
enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Poom (PDR).
Should you have any questions concerning this inspection, we will be pleased to discuss them
with you.
