Letter dated April 29, 1986 from J. F. Opeka to T. E. Murley transmitting Revision 8 of Changes to the Northeast Utilities Quality Assurance Topical Report.
We have received the referenced letter transmitting Revision 8 of the Northeast Utilities Quality Assurance Topical Report.
Region I staff has reviewed this.
submittal and found the changes acceptable as they continue to meet the require-ments of 10 CFR 50 Appendix B.
Two changes were made to relieve Quality Assur-ance personnel fron a redundant in-line design drawing review.
Independent QA overview for design drawing control continues to be accomplished through the audit and surveillance program.
The staff found these changes acceptable as they were consistent with the NRC position in this regard.
The effectiveness of your QA Program implementation will continue to be the subject of routine regional inspections.
