Dear Ms. Robinson:

'[ f Under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request records pertaining to the recently concluded probe by th2 NRC Office of Investigations of grievances lodged by Nine Mile Point 2 quality assurance inspectors Rudolf A. Norman, John E. Ryan,-

Anthony D. Laratta and others. They alleged intimidation by supervisors under contract with Niagara Mohawk Power Corp.

I hereby request a complete copy of the final OI report, any supporting materials or recommendations, and transcripts of interviews.

In addition, please provide any documents upon which the allegations stemmed, namely, the original draft of the QA Audit No. 4 conducted Jan. 24 to Feb. 3, 1984, the final version of this same audit and any other related audit / inspection reports. If it assists, the computer reference of the first draft is apparently 4048C, the final version is 4162c and a related letter dated April 5, 1984 is filed under QA840573 "B" 17.0-A1. Since none of these are filed in the Oswego public document room, 1 request copies.

Please supply the records without informing me if the fees ar- $25 or less. As you know, the Freedom of Ihformation Act requires the NRC respond within 10 business days of receipt of a request. We feel a prompt response is in the interest of public safety since issuance of a low power license is expected at Nine Mile Point 2 by mid-June. Therefore, I would appreciate a response as soon as possible If any portion of my request is denied, please inform me of the reasons, by pho,ne or in writing and provide the name and address of the person to whon an appeal should be directed. I look forward to hearing from you.
