NUREG 1022. REVISION 1 EVENT REPORTING GUIDELINES,10 CFR 50.72 AND 50.73 In response to your memorandum dated November 6,1997, NRR concurs on the final draft of the subject report.
Although this guidance will be usefulin interpreting event reporting requirements and make for more consistent reporting thresholds, I would encourage you to proceed with plans to pursue
- rulemaking to further address the question of whether 1 hour1.157407e-5 days <br />2.777778e-4 hours <br />1.653439e-6 weeks <br />3.805e-7 months <br /> reports for conditions that place the plant outside of design basis are necessary and also consider what information the NRC really needs licensees to report in today's regulatory atmosphere of risk informed regulation.
