PROPOSED LICENSE AMENDKENT - CONCERNING INSERVICE TESTING 0F PUMPS AND VALVES (TAC 4913fi)
Re:
La Crosse Boiling Water Reacter The NRC staff has completed its review of the subject license amendment application dated December 8,1931, concerning inservice testing of pumps and valves. All'other items requested in this application have been completed by previous licensing actions. Review of the proposed amendment indicated that the information added by the proposed change has, in effect, already been added to the LACBWR technical specifications (TS) by License Amendment 34.
Comparison of the current LACBWR TS to the Standard Technical Specifications (STS) revealed that the two specifications are essentially identical and that the addition of the proposad 4/5.3.2 would not clarify nor provide additionni guidance related to Inservice Testing and Operability determination criteria.
We therefore conclude that the proposed TS sections 4/5.3.2 should not be incorporated into the LACBWR TS. Accordingly, your application for amendment is denied. A copy of this Notice of Denial is being forwarded to the Feaeral
