Caldon, Inc. Letter, from Mr. Calvin R. Hastings to Mr. Scott F. Newberry of the NRC dated December 23, 1997.

TU Electric would like to inform the NRC that CPSES has agreed prov we lead plant license submittal to assist Caldon. Inc in the review of the LEFH technology submitted in Topical Report ER 80P.

TU Electric has reviewed the required scope of the license amendment and anticipates submittal of the required LicenLe Amendment for Units 1 and 2 in July, 1998. In addition, TV Electr;: would like to propose that a meeting be scheduled in the near future Scween the NRC, Caldon and TV Electric to discuss the scope and schedule of the License Amendment.

This communication contains no new licensing basis commitments regarding CPSES Units 1 and 2.
