.- Docket Nos.:- 50-445 and 50-446 Mr. William G. Counsil Executive Vice President Texas Utilities Generating Company Skyway Tower, l.B. 81 400 North Olive Street Dallas, Texas 75201

Dear Mr. Counsil:

This concerns the CPRT Overview Quality Team (00T) discussed in SSER 13 in Section 4, CPRT Quality Assurance Program. In that section, we stated that the overview provided for the TRT issue-specific action plans (ISAPS) does not include a detailed audit program, and requested that an audit program be established and implemented by the Senior Review Team for the TRT ISAP program. We would like to settle this matter promptly. In addition, the NRC staff has identified other areas where improvements should be made. These are:

(1) A master schedule for 00T reviews and audits.

(2) _ Procedural controls for timely resolution by SRT of matters identified by the 00T.

(3) A procedure describing the responsibilities and authority of the 00T.

You are requested to respond to these matters within forty-five days of this r ,

' request.
