SPECIAL REPORT f l
CATAWBA NUCLEAR STATION On April 25, 1986 Channel 8 of the Loose Parts Monitoring System was declared inoperable. A Work Request was submitted to investigate and correct the cause of inoperability.
On May 29, 1986 personnel determined that a power supply to the system was failing, which resulted in the loss of Channel 8. The failing power supply was replaced on May 29. Channel 8 was declared operable on May 31, 1986.
