OF JULY 14,1997, MEETING WITH THE NUCLEAR INDUSTRY'S 4TH ANNUAL CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE On July 14,1997, David Matthews, Deputy Director of the Division of Reactor Program Management, Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation, U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, met with attendees at the nuclear industry's 4th Annual Configuration Management -
Conference at the Embassy Suites Hotelin Chicago, Illinois.
Mr. Matthews spoke to the conference attendees on the state of configuration management in the nuclear industry from a regulatory perspective, with an emphasis on issues related to design bases and implementation of 10 CFR 50.59 (Changes, tests and experiments). His presentation slides are provided in the attachment.
