Dear Mr. Wadley:
On September 9,1997, the NRC completed an inspection at your Prairie Island Nuclear
Generating Plant. The enclosed report presents the results of that inspection.
No violations of NRC requirements were noted in the areas that were reviewed. During the
5 week period covered by this inspection your conduct of activities was characterized
primarily by routine operations performed correctly with few challenges. Improvements were
noted in the performance of the Operating Committee.
In accordance with 10 CFR Part 2.700 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter
and its enclosures will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
