EMERGENCY PLAN REVIEW - FARLEY NUCLEAR PLANT DOCKET NOS. 50-348 AND 50-364 We have completed our review of the changes incorporated as Revision 11 to the Farley Radiological Emergency Plan dated February 26, 1986.
Our review indicates that the changes meet the planning standards of 10 CFR 50.47(b) and the requirements of Appendix E to 10 CFR 50 contingent upon the submission and approval of the modifications to the requirements for Notification of an Unusual Event, Alert, and Site Area Emergency as discussed between W. M. Sartor of our staff and a representative of your organization (Ken McCracken) on April 28, 1986.
Please be reminded that 10 CFR 50.54(q) requires NRC approval of any changes to your Plan which may decrease the effectiveness of the Plan. However, if your safety review indicates no decrease in the level of emergency preparedness, then changes may be made without NRC approval.
In all caser, you should furnish copies of each change to the NRC in accordance with 10 CFP 60.54(q). Also any changes to the Emergency Plan Implementing Procedures should be made in accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 50, Appendix E, Section V.
