Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station Exket No. 50-219 laspection Report 50-219/97-06 Revision to Reply to Notice of Violation 2.C.
On October 17,1997, GPU Nuclear replied to two violations contained in NRC Inspection Report 50-219/97-06. Reply 2.C., addressing a needed correction to a 1978 submittal, committed to submitting the requisite information prior to December 31.1997. The information relates to seismic analyses and their applicabi!ity to the Shutdown Cooling System.
However, responding to two recent needs for analytical information relating to other seismic concerns, the resources necessary to complete the Shutdown Cooling calculations had to be diverted. On December 23,1997, Oyster Creek Nuclear Generhiing Station centacted the Region I staff and requested an extension to March 31,1998, with the mutual understanding that realistic efforts would be made to docket the submittal as soon as possible. The request was appreved. This letter documents that request and approval.
