Catawba Nuclear Station Docket Nos. 50-413 and 50-414 Safeguards Contingency Plan, Revision 5
Dear Mr. Denton:
Pursuant to 10CFR50.54(p), please find attached five (5) copies of Revision 5 to the Catawba Nuclear Station, Safeguards Contingency Plan. Revision 5 was developed to address the reference addition of the " Station Emergency Plan" and " Station Emergency Preparedness Response Procedures" within the Safe-guards Contingency Plan.
Specific plan changes are addressed in the attach-ment.
Since the Safeguards Contingency Plan is applicable to Unit 1 (50-413) and Unit 2 (50-414) this submittal is directed to the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (ONRR) with a copy of the submittal to the Region II, Regional Administrator.
Based on conve.sation between your staff and my staff and the current status of the Catauba Unit 2 (50-414) License, this submittal in this manner staisfies the Licensing requirements of Unit 1 and Unit 2.
Revision 5 does not decrease the effectiveness of the Catawba Nuclear Sta-tion, Safeguards Contingency Plan.
This material is applicable to security provisions at Catawba Nuclear Station; therefore, Duke requests that this material be withheld from public disclosure pursuant to 10CFR73.21.
