EQUIPMENT QUALIFICATION INSPECTION - SEQUOYAH NUCLEAR PLANT UNITS 1 AND 2 This letter confirms the dates of December 2-6, 1985, for the NRC equipment qualification (EQ) inspection of Sequoyah Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2.
These dates were established during a telephone conversation on November 13, 1985 between Mr. J. Wills of your staff and Mr. G. Hubbard, IE. However, should it be necessary, the inspection team.will return at a later date to complete the inspection activities. This will be decided during the course of the inspection. The inspection will include activities at your corporate offices in Knoxville, Tennessee, and at the plant site in Daisy, Tennessee.
A management entrance meeting is scheduled for 1:00 pm on December 2, 1985 at your corporate offices.
If the inspection is completed during this first week, the management exit meeting is tentatively scheduled for 11:00 am on December 6,1985, also at your corporate offices.
You will be contacted at a later date concerning arrangements for the members of the inspection team which will be visiting the plant site.
The plant site visit is tentatively scheduled for December 4, 1985.
The inspection will include the following:
1.
Review of your implementation of a 10 CFR 50.49 EQ program, including preservation of the qualified status of qualified equipment.
2.
Review of your implementation of Technical Evaluation Report / Safety Evaluation Report EQ corrective action commitments.

Review of EQ documentation files.
