This letter will confirm the telephone conversation between you and Mr. Jan A. Norris, of August 21, 1978, in which he requested a meeting between you and your staff and the staff of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. The meeting is to take place on Thursday, September 14, 1978, at 8:30 AM in your offices in Seattle.

As was indicated, we are reviewing the environmental aspects of operation of the Washington Public Power Supply System (WPPSS) Nuclear Project No. 2 (WNP-2), presently under construction in Benton County, Washington, in this forthcoming meeting with you and your staff we are interested in discussing your agency's concerns regarding the effect the operation of WNP-2 may have on fish in the Columbia River, so that they may be incorporated in our review and given appropriate consideration in the environmental statement.
Mr. Norris, the Environmental Project Manager responsible for WNP-2 review, will be accompanied by two fish biologists. The staff is looking forward to meeting with you on the 14th.
