The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has completed its SALP Assessment relating to the perfomance of your reactor facility and will present its findings at a meeting on December.12,1985, at 1:00 p.m. at the Clinton Visitor Center in DeWitt Illinois.
Arrangements for this meeting were previously 4
made between Mr. D. P. Hall of your staff and Messrs. A. B. Davis and R. F. Warnick of Region III on October 25, 1985.
We encourage Illinois Power Company to have appropriate corpohate and plant management representation at the meeting to ensure a mutual i
understanding of the issues and findings being presented by MRC.
While this meeting is considered a presentation and discussion forum between Illinois Power and the NRC, the meeting will be opened to any other interested parties as observers. Those persons outside the licensee and NRC staffs should infona the Regional Office, in advance of the meeting, of their intent to participate.
We hope this meeting will benefit your organization and provide you with a meaningful characterization of the overall safety perfomance for the Clinton plant.
