Gentlemen:
This letter refers to the routine safeguards inspection of y.our activities
authorized under NRC License No. R-101 conducted by Messrs. L.R. Norderhaug
and A. V. Wieder of this office on April 22 through 24, and May 2, 1986. It
also refers to the discussion of their inspection findings with Dr. Pigford
and certain members of his staff on April 24, 1986.
The inspection included examination of activities related to Safeguarding
special nuclear material as described in the enclosed inspection report.
Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of
procedures and records, interviews with facility staff and inspector
observations.

Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
In accordance with Section 2.790(d) of NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2,
Title 10 Code of Federal Regulations, documentation of the findings of your
safeguards and security measures are exempt from public disclosure; therefore,
the enclosed inspection report will not be placed in the Public Document Room
and will receive limited distribution.
