Oyster Creek Nuclear a nerating Station Decket No. 50-219 Full Term Operating License (FTOL) Conversion On December 29, 1981 the Nuclear Regulatory Commission issued Amendment No. 59 to Provisional Operating License (POL) No. DPR-16 for the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station.
The amendment amended the license in its entirety and approved changes to the Technical Specifications to reflect that GPU Nuclear Corporation replaced Jersey Central Power & Light Company (JCP&L) as the licensee authorized to possess, use and operate the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station.
JCP&L is the owner of the plant and, therefore, remains a licensee.
At the time of issuance of Amendment No. 59, technical specification changes requests which had been submitted by JCP&L were being reviewed by the NRC Staff.
Subsequently, the Commission approved a number of these requests and issued, e.a., Amendment No. 60 (February 3, 1982), No. 62 (July 12, 1982)

63 (October 15, 1982), and No. 64 (October 28, 1982) to GPU Nuclear Corporation and JCP&L.
It is requested that the application filed by JCP&L under a letter dated March 6,1972, to cor. vert POL DPR-16 for Oyster Creek to an FTOL be deemed amended to reflect GPU Nuclear Corporation status and be treated in the same manner, and that an FTOL be issued to GPU Nuclear Corporation and JCP&L, as licensed operator and owner respectively.
