This refers to my letter of May 10, 1985, in which you were advised that personnel from the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), under contract to NRC, would be visiting your facility.
The May 10 letter stated that the LANL personnel are attempting to identify those areas or combinations of areas in your plant that contain vital equipment.
This study, referred to as the Vital Area Definition Program, is being conducted for the NRC's Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards.
The purpose of this letter is to confirm that the study will be performed at the Hope Creek site during the week of November 4,1985.
The identities and social security numbers of the LANL representatives who will conduct the study at your facility are being provided to the Hope Creek Manager, Quality Assurance, Engineering and Construction, in an enclosure to his copy of this letter. Your assistance to them in completing their task is appreciated.
