" Degradation of Control Rod Drive Mechanism Nozzle and Other Vessel Head Penetrations") For San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station Units 2 and 3 (TAC Nos. M98593 and M98594)
This letter is to inform the NRC that the Southern California Edison Company (SCE) will submit the additional information requested by the reference letter for San Onofre Units 2 and 3 not later than January 14, 1999.
The NRC requested the additional information for San Onofre Units 2 and 3 be submitted within 90 days of the September 14, 1998 issue date of the referenced letter. As a result, the due date would be December 14, 1998.
In addition, however, there is a generic industry response which is scheduled to be submitted to the NRC by the middle of December.
In an effort to ensure that SCE is providing a complete response for San Onofre Units 2 and 3 and one that is consistent with the industry response, SCE will provide the requested information to the NRC not later than January 14, 1999.
