NRC INSPECTION REPORT 50-440/97015(DRS)
Dear Mr. Myers:
On October 23,1997, the NRC completed an inspection at your Perry Unit 1 Nuclear Power
Plant. The inspection reviewed activities associated with your inservice inspection efforts and
the Installation of your suppression pool suction strainer. The enclosed report presents the
. areas examined and results of the inspection.
No violations of NRC requirements were identified during the course of this inspection,
inservice Inspection activities were effectively implemented with several aspects demonstrating
Good safety focus. The stralner installation was well executed with active oversight by
management and engineering,
in accordance with 10 CFR 2.700 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this letter and the
enclosed inspection report will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
We will gladly discuss any questions you have concerning this inspection.
