Gentlemen:
This refers to the inspection conducted by Messrs. R. C. Stewart and J. I. Tapia
of this office during the period March 10-14, 1986, of activities authorized by
NRC Operating Licenses DPR-51 and NPF-6 for Arkansas Nuclear One, Units 1 and 2,
and to the discussion of our findings with Mr. J. Levine and other members of
your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during the inspection included: (1) design control program,
(2) facility modifications, and (3) review of actions taken on previously
identified inspection findings. Within these areas, the inspection consisted
of selective examination of procedures and representative records, interviews
with personnel, and observations by the inspectors. These findings are
documented in the enclosed inspection report.
Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were
identified.
