This letter refers to the special' inspection conducted by Messrs.
S. K. Chaudhary of Region I, and N. D. Romney of NRR on March 21-25, 1988,
at the Hope Creek Generating Station at Hancocks Bridge, New Jersey.
Mr. Chaudhary discussed the findings of the inspection with Mr. B. Preston
of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I-
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of'this inspection, no viciations were observed.
No reply to this letter is required. Your cooperation with us in this matter
is appreciated.
