SUMMARY

OF MONTHLY OPERATING EXPERIENCE FEBRUARY 1986 February 1 The Station was in Operational Mode 1 with reactor through power at a nominal 100 percent with the Reactor February 6 Coolant System at a normal operating pressure and tempe rature. February 7 Power output was reduced to approximately 70 percent through at 1930 hours on the 7th to perform periodic testing February 9 on Main Steam Trip Valves. The test results were satisfactory and power level was subsequently returned to a nominal 100 percent at 0300 hours on the 8th. February 10 At 1927 hours on the 10th, a Turbine Trip / Reactor through Trip occurred due to a Hi-Hi Steam Generator Level February 13 caused by a failure of Vital Bus #3. The reactor was returned to criticality at 1450 hours on the 12th and the Station returned to service at 1610 hours on the 12th. Upon power escalation, power level was held at approximately 30 percent due to a leaking Turbine Plant Component Cooling Water line. At 2025 hours on the 12th power ascension, toward a nominal 100 percent, was reestablished. February 14 At 1207 hours on the 14th, power level was reduced through to approximately 65 percent so that maintenance February 18 could be performed on Feedwater Pump (FW-P-1B). Repairs were completed at 0913 hours on the 18th and power ascension, toward a nominal 100 percent, was subsequently begun. February 19 The Station was in Operational Mode I with through reactor power at a nominal 100 percent with February 28 the Reactor Coolant System at a normal operating pressure and temperature. l R [ 1
