Availability of Emergency Lighting During Station Blackout Deas Sir:
In recent discussions with the Staff, we were requested to address the availability of emergency lighting during station blackout (i.e.,
loss of all of fsite and onsite ac) for operator use, as it pertains to considerations outlined in Reference (b), item f.
Emergency lighting at Seabrook is provided by means of lights powered from the station batteries, stationary 8-hour de battery powered lights or by means of five portable lights. The portable lights are stored and maintained full charged in the Emergency Response Storage Area, adjacent to the Control Room. The portable lights have a minimum t to-hour capacity and are available only to the operators during abnormal operat '.ng conditions.

These portable lights are sufficient in number such that any actions required by the operators during the station blackout can be accomplished.
