Since the Regions pay for their travel,_it might be more-expensive to go to CA and so they might balk l(although I doubt it) . - I'll-send e an_e-mail-to each of them.today but I might not get responses until Monday. :

Dear Mr. Shearer:
We have evaluated your request dated October 2,1997, to hold certain training courses at your ,
facility in the Pittsburgh Regional Office. In coordination with the Technical Training Division, we have concluded that, at this time, we could present ttie inspection Piocedures and the Licensing Practices and Procedures courses at your facility. Preliminary discussions with our -
Division of Contracts and the contractor indicate that the Transportation of Radioactive Materials course can be presented at your facility. This may require some assistance from your staff in making arrangements with a local transportation facility if a field trip is conducted during the course. These courses would be presented in placs of the currently scheduled courses, not in addition to them, therefore, spotA will need to be made available for students from other States and NRC. The specific number of students from Pennsylvania will be worked out as we receive the total number of students interested in attending these courses. To the extent possible, we will work to accommodate the majority of your training needs for these courses.
