We have evaluated your request dated October 2,1997, to hold certain training courses at yeur facility in the Pittsburgh Regional Office. in courdination with the Technical Training Division,-
we have concluded that, at this time, we could present the inspection Procedures and the Licensing Practices and Procedures courses at your facility Preliminary discussions with our.
Division of Contracts and the contractor indicate that the T ransportation of Radioactive Materials course can be presented at your facility. This may require some assistance from your staff in making arrangements with a local transportation facility if a field trip is conducted during the course. These courses would be presented in place of the currently scheduled courses, not i
in addition to them, thcrofore, space will need to be made available for students from other States and NRC. The specific number of students from Pennsyh'ania will be worked out as we i
receive the total number of students interested in attending these courses. To the extent possible, we will work to accommodate the majority of your training needs for these coursas.
