Dear Dr. Asmussen:

The staff of the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), has completed its review and evaluation of the General Atomics' TRIGA Reactors Facility Reactor Operator Requaliti-cation Program that was submitted on December 16,1997, as supplemented on February 24,1998. -The program was reviewed against the criteria in 10 CFR Part 55. ,

Based on its review, the staff concludes that the General Atomics' TRIGA Reactors Faci!ity Reactor Operator Requalification Program meets the requirements of the regulations and is, h therefora, acceptable.'
