Purpose:
To discuss issues raised by Westinghouse generic letter dated June 13, 1986. The letter raised a potential safety concern that damage to the RPR pumps from loss of suction might occur following a LOCA if the pumps were initially connected to the hot legs in the decay heat removal mode.
