Gentlemen:

SUBJECT: NRC INS?ECTION REPORT N05. 50-327/88-32 AND 50-328/88-32

This refers to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) inspection conducted

by J. D. Ennis on June 13-17, 1988. The inspection included a review of

activities authorized for your Sequoyah facility. At the conclusion of the

inspection the findings were discussed with those members of your staff

identified in the enclosed inspection report.

Areas examined during the inspection are identified in the report. Within

these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures

and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observation of

activities in orogress.

The inspection findings indicate that certain activities appeared to violate

NRC requirements. However, because all of the criteria for categorization of

licensee-identified violations were met the violations are not being cited.

The details pertaining to the licensee , identified violations are described in

the enclosed Inspection Report.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(d) and 10 CFR 73.21
