l Attachment McGuire Nuclear Station Special Report Number 96-04, Rev. 3 Response to ONRR Follow-up Questions l
Question # 1 Are the effects on any other structures, systems or components monitored by or in the direct vicinity of Groundwater Well Mk. GWA-2?
Answer No.
Well Mk. GWA-2 monitors the Unit 2 Reactor Building wall only.
There is no monitoring of underground l
structures, systems or components away from the Reactor j
l Building wall.
The nearest underground structures, systems or components are the diesel fuel oil tank and condenser circulating water piping which are approximately 40 feet away from Well Mk. GWA-2.
l Question # 2 l
Is there any continuous indication of level for Well Mk.
GWA-2?
Answer No, Well Mk. GWA-2 does not have an analog indication.
Outside monitors such as this location do not typically have analog indication.
When Well Mk. GWA-2 goes into alarm, the detector can be lifted to determine the height required to clear the alarm.
The typical height required to clear the alarm is approximately 1 to 2 inches.
