From October 4 through November 14,1998, a resident routine inspection was conducted at

your Wolf Creek Generating Station reactor facility. The enclosed report presents the scope
and results of that inspection.

During the 6-week period covered by this inspection, your conduct at Wolf Creek was generally
l
}
characterized by safety-conscious operations and sound maintenance activities. Most notable
l
was your staff's prompt and thorough response to road closures due to flooding within
[
l
the 10-mile emergency zone.

!n accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its
enck ture will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
