Gentlemen:

This refers to the special allegation review performed during a routine
safeguards inspection conducted by Mr. G. L. Pirtle of this office on May 25,
1988, of an allegation at Callaway County Nuclear Power Station authorized by
NRC Operating License No. NPF-30 and to the discussion of our findings with
Mr. C. Naslund and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the
inspection on May 27, 1988.
The. allegation pertained to alleged aberrant
behavior by a named individual with unescorted access to the Callaway County
Nuclear Power Station.
The enclosed copy of our inspection report identified areas examined during
the inspection.
The inspection consisted of a selective examination of
licensee documents pertaining to their investigation of the allegation, and
inspector interviews with personnel.
No violations of NRC requirements were
identified.
