OF MEETING - FEBRUARY 24, 1988 REGARDING OPERATIONAL READINESS OF SEQUOYAH UNIT 2
'l On February 24, 1988, members of the NRC staff met with representatives of TVA to receive a presentation from TVA regarding the operational readiness of Sequoyah Unit 2.
The meeting transcription has been provided as Enclosure 1.
The presentation slides have been provided as Enclosure 2.
The presentation included a discussion of TVA's corporate readiness, and operational readiness including existing technical support and plant readiness.
A general discussion and question and answer period was also conducted. TVA i
concludes that all areas of operational readiness have been assessed; that
]
programs are in place to ensure continuing improvement and self assessment-and; that Sequoyah Nuclear Plant Unit 2 is safe for restart.
