New Fuel Receipt and Inspection Gentlemen:
i In recent discussions with the NRC Staff, New Hampanire Yankee (NHY) was j
requested to provide clarification with regards to procedures for handling polyethylene bags covering new fuel assemblies received on-site and removed from their shipping containers.
In response to this request, Seabrook Station
[
Operating Procedure RS-0722, 'New Fuel Receipt and Inepection,' r6 quires that, p:.!or to moving new fuel assemblies to their designated fuel storage area, the polyethylene cover bag be carefully unfastened at both ends and removed.
New Hampshire Yankee trusts that the above inforr.ation adequately responds to the Staff's request.
