ALL AGREEMENT AND NON-AGREEMENT STATES PART P0 REVISED FINAL RULE Enclosed for your information are the principal documents related to the revision of the Nuclear Regulatory Connission's radiation prctection standards in 10 CFR Part 20: Statement of Considerations, Draft Final Rule. Draft Final Regulatory Analysis, and Draft Final Backfit Rule.
There is also included a comparative text showing the current Part 20, the final Part 20 and the praposed Part 20. This document may be helpful in comparing the exact wording of the major changes from the existing and proposed rules.
The revised Final Rule incorporates revisions suggested by the over 800 public coments that were received on the proposed rule, ss well as modifications to reflect the provision; of the 1987 federal guidance on occupational radiation exposure. This version has undergone two levels of review by the principal NRC divisions, regional offices and States, and connents from these reviews have been incorporated into the 'vle.
The statement of consideration and other supporting documents have not undergone this review. These documents are still considered draft and should not be distributed to the public.
