This letter documents the telephone conversation between R. D. Lanksbury of this office and E. Fitzpatrick and K. Graesser of your staff on February 8, 1988, confirming the Operational Readiness Inspection (0RI) to be conducted at the Braidwood Power Station. The ORI is scheduled to be conducted on February 16-19, 1988. The purpose of the ORI is to evaluate Braidwood, Unit 2, operations, maintenance, nuclear engineering, radiation protection, and chemistry activities in order to help determine whether or not the Comonwealth Edison Company should receive a recommendation from Region III to proceed beyond 5% reactor power.
