SAFETT EVALUATION REPORT, LICENSE AMENDMENT APPLICATI0F DATED OCTOBER 31, 1988, RE LICENSE EXTENSION
Background
On October 31, 1988 TUEC submitted an applicatten for license amendinent to extend the expiration date of the license.
Discussion Extension of the license parallels the request for extension of Construction Permit No. CPFR-126, dated June 6, 1988, and permits the receipt, possession, inspection, storage and preparation for transport of special nuclear material required for operation of Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station Unit 1.
The extension request is for December 31, 1991, or upon conversion of Construction Perinit No. CPPR.126 to an operating license, whichever is earlier.
Conclusion /Reconeendation Extension of the license should have no adverse effect on the public health and safety or on the environevnt. Approval of the amendment application is reconpended.
