Enclosed for information is the FUEL TRANSFER PLAN (Defuelin Plan) for the AGN-201 research and test reactor at The Catholic University of America. This plan contains infor .ation pertinent to the security of the reactor fuel. It is suggested that it be reviewed in accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(b)(1) to deterrine whether it should be excluded from placement in the Public Document Room.

In accordance with the Technical Specifications, the Fuel Transfer Plan will be reviewed and approved by the University Radiation Safety Comnittee prior to irplerentation. Should this review result in significant changes. the amended plan will be submitted to NRC.

The expected date of implementation is unknown at this tire; it cannot occur until existing research is noved out of the fume hood (in which the core tank will be opened) and into a recently-completed ne. research buildin; on the university campus. The best present estimate is that defueling will occur in the Spring of 1959, a
